Istanbul with your own guide
A private tour is the best way to see Istanbul if you want to go at your own speed, ask all your questions and skip the crowd of a group. A licensed local guide meets you at your hotel, at the airport or at Galataport, travels with you in a private car with driver, and shapes the day around what interests you, whether that is Byzantine mosaics, Ottoman palaces or simply the best photo of Hagia Sophia.
Most guests choose our classic full-day tour of the old city, or a half day if time is short. We can also plan days in Fener and Balat, Beyoğlu and Galata, or the Asian side, and combine any tour with a private yacht cruise on the Bosphorus. Travelling as a family or a group of friends? A private tour often costs little more per person than a group tour.

Private Istanbul tour FAQ
How much does a private Istanbul tour cost?
The price depends on the number of guests, the length of the tour, the sights and the language of the guide. Send us your date and group size and we reply with a written price, usually within the hour.
What is the difference between the full-day and half-day tour?
The full-day tour (7 to 8 hours) adds lunch, Topkapı Palace and the Basilica Cistern to the half-day tour, which covers Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome and the Grand Bazaar in about 4 hours.
Can you pick us up from the airport or the cruise port?
Yes. Your guide and driver can meet you at your hotel, at Istanbul Airport or Sabiha Gökçen, or at Galataport.
Can we change the itinerary?
Yes, that is the point of a private tour. Tell us what you want to see and we plan the day around it.
Is a guide available in my language?
English is standard. Guides in other languages, such as Spanish, French, German, Russian or Arabic, are available on request.
Can we combine the tour with a yacht cruise?
Yes. Many guests finish the day with a private sunset yacht cruise; we coordinate the timing and the transfer.
What should I wear?
Comfortable shoes, and clothes that cover shoulders and knees for the mosques. Women need a scarf to cover their hair inside the mosques.
