Some days deserve more than a restaurant table. On a private yacht, the Bosphorus becomes your venue: you board in the centre of Istanbul with your partner, family or friends, and cruise between Europe and Asia past palaces, mosques and fortresses while the crew looks after everything. The whole yacht is yours, so there are no other guests, and the music, the menu and the programme are planned around your celebration.

On a celebration cruise, every kind of activity is possible. We decorate the yacht in your colours and theme, bring the cake on board at the right moment, and arrange any entertainment you like: a belly dancer, a whirling dervish, Turkish folk dancers, a DJ or live music. Food can be a full dinner, a buffet or snacks and finger food, prepared on board by our chef for groups of 10 or more.

We recommend 4 hours for a celebration, so there is time for a welcome drink, dinner, the cake and the music without rushing. As a TURSAB-licensed Istanbul agency and family business since 1967, we arrange every celebration directly with our own crews, for groups from 10 to 250 guests.

Which yacht celebration is right for you?

Most celebrations fall into a few groups. Start with who is coming, then think about the time of day and how many guests you expect.

For two: proposals, anniversaries and Valentine's Day

An intimate occasion needs privacy and a quiet moment, not a dance floor. A marriage proposal depends on timing and a surprise, so the plan is built around a single moment. An anniversary or a Valentine's dinner is more relaxed, with the evening centred on the table and the view.

With friends: birthdays, bachelorette parties and graduations

These are parties first, so think about music, space to move and photos. A birthday party can suit any age, from children in the afternoon to adults dancing late. A bachelorette party or henna night revolves around the bride, and a henna night often brings in mothers and aunts as well as friends. A graduation party can be for a few close friends or a whole year group, which makes guest numbers the first question.

With the family: reunions, milestones and baby news

When several generations come together, comfort matters more than volume: seating, a closed saloon, and a meal that suits children and grandparents. A family celebration cruise covers reunions, milestone birthdays and dinners for relatives visiting Istanbul. A gender reveal or baby shower is family-centred too, but planned around one big moment and the comfort of the mother to be.

Three questions to help you decide

1. Who is the day for? A single person being celebrated, a couple, or the whole group?
2. Day or night? Daylight is best for children, colours and photos; the evening brings the lit-up bridges and dancing.
3. How many guests? Numbers decide the yacht and whether a seated dinner or a buffet works better.

New Year's Eve is a category of its own, with a gala evening and fireworks at midnight, and it is usually planned well ahead.

Menus for your celebration

Every cruise starts with a welcome drink and light snacks. For the celebration itself, any food option is possible: a full dinner, a buffet, finger food or snacks. For groups of 10 or more our private chef cooks on board, and menus can be adapted to your guests' tastes and dietary needs. You can also bring your own food and drinks, with a service fee of €10 per person.

Yacht celebration prices: what affects your quote

Every celebration is different, so we prepare a written quote for yours. The price is based on five things:

• The yacht: size and capacity
• Duration: we recommend 4 hours for a celebration
• Date and time: weekends, summer evenings and holidays are busiest
• Group size: number of adults and children
• Food, drinks and extras: what you add to the cruise

Meeting points for your yacht celebration

Choose the pier closest to your hotel or home. We board from eight piers along the Bosphorus:

Boarding at Kuruçeşme is included; boarding at any other pier adds one hour of yacht time to your quote. We send the exact pier with a map pin when you book.
